this game is good, you must make your best strategies for every movements, and taking your exp for level up. this game make you learning more how to play and defeat the enemies. and you can enjoy the time by hitting enemies and make your strategies, dont forget to take your EXP but remember they will hunt and running into you. Overall a very solid game with plenty of variety in characters, weapons and constellations to keep gameplay interesting for many hours to come. Level up characters individually to unlock permanent upgrades for all to further push the limits of your character. After about 20 hours I've levelled all characters to 100+, completed all the missions and had a couple of multi-hour runs in the limitless mode of the game. Although some fine tuning regarding balance is required, I've had a blast trying out all sorts of weird and wonderful strategies. I'd love to see further releases introducing more maps and particularly new characters further increasing the variety of playstyles.

The game is largely optimised very well, far better than you would expect for a title only just about to leave early access. It does sometimes struggle with a large amount of projectiles on screen, most notably when you have 10 shotguns with lots of projectile rebound. Outside of this the game maintains excellent framerate with no stuttering.

Any drastic change to core game mechanics late in development risks alienating long time fans of your game. It's clear from some of the other reviews that shifting away from the corridor based gameplay has left a sour taste in the mouth of some supports of this game's early access. However, the resulting "modern" mode has far greater replayability and variety, and will therefore be much more appealing long term to a wider player base. I applaud the developers behind vampire hunters for willingly taking the risk, and the results certainly speak for themselves.

Fun game with tight and satisfying game play that can kill a few hours. Although, it can get repetitive after multiple sessions in a row. Best to play this game in 1-2 hour bursts. A serviceable amount of characters Vast amount of weapons, charms modifiers, A decent amount enemies, and bosses to mess around with.

[SLIGHT RANT]

On the topic of enemies and bosses, there are only 5 unique types of enemies with differing skins depending on map (only applies to the common enemies). Bosses on the other hand while shared between all 4 maps (aside from 1 special boss for every map) are all very unique visually but easy to counter and can be grouped into 3 or so different categories mechanically. Alternatively every primary, secondary, and passive weapon feel vastly different from one another. Also most weapons feel very strong in the beginning, before strangely feeling weak in the mid game, then finally feeling strong and or over powered by the end. This leads to a weird progression curve during game play, but still fun too use.

There are 3 characters at the moment. All have extensive skill trees and their own abilities which cater to different play styles. While you do unlock everything eventually, it can feel especially grindy. When you do unlock everything you can really only look forward to is competing high scores on map leaderboards and trophy hunting. While this is fine in itself the trophies proc really late or not at all when they are supposed too. (Ex: Trophy for reaching Level 125 with character procs at Level 150/ Trophy for winning a round with certain modifiers won't validate until completion of the 2nd or 3rd run). This makes the ladder activity very frustrating as some of these runs require a lot of skill, can be very tedious and time consuming, or can require many runs due too the difficulty of the achievement. Although this seems very frustrating for 100%'ers it doesn't take away from the average players enjoyment of the game as this seems to be only a steam tracking bug as the in-game tracker is quite accurate and it won't bar you from unlocking items in the game.

Overall it's a awkward feeling janky yet very satisfying experience and well worth the $15.
