I lost my game data, although I didn't uninstall the game.
The game was always on my drive, I even checked the details and creation date. I don't even think I ever moved it to other drives.

What I did, though, is I bought a new pc. But all my drives are still the same (with the same system, for sure). Is that normal?

Yes, the game uses either Windows registry or $XDG_CONFIG_HOME on Linux. There is no save sync, unfortunately.

That's unfortunate. I lost some great photos. Well, a chance to make new ones. Thank you for the answer.

The photos are stored locally and not in registry, I forgot where exactly, but in the in-game gallery, there's a button that takes you to the location where photos are stored. Unless you did a full OS reinstall without preserving data, you should still have them there.
