Controller? Mouse and keyboard? What are you playing the game on?

I have attempted both types of control with the same issue. I started with keyboard and mouse with the controller plugged in and had the error. Then I closed the game and unplugged the controllers usb and restarted thinking it was due to the added input type, this didn't fix the issue. Then I tried the opposite leaving only the controller plugged in to the same result. I have also checked the integrity of game files to no avail.

I am playing the game on my computer I haven't had any issues before so I'm not sure what I need to check here for this kind of issue.

I know... Its a huge shame too because I really wanted to play this game and making this discussion is my only hope at this point

I just double checked and no luck finding a similar issue in the forum. Thanks for the suggestion though I'm grateful for your help!

I fixed it! I was able to solve the issue by turning on the steam input translation. Now I have no problems with both keyboard and mouse as well as the game-pad.
