I tried it all, and my game still doesn't run.

I need your help.
My game was working fine last 1 and half yrs or so but since last 2 weeks it wont launch. i have done all the steps on stratup issue.

OS: win10.

Please someone help me to resolve issue cant wait to play again

I'm in the same situation.

I tried these two options: Microsoft C++ Redists didn't install properly &
DirectX didn't install properly, but any of them worked.

The issue is that when I launch the game the screen turns white and nothig happes
next, and then the widnows error apears: "does not respond".

I noticed that some programs (including AOE2) stop worked properly since the last windows 10 update. May / 18.

I'm not having any issues but my dad is. We're running quite similar setups and we've tried everything available on the web to no avail. The game goes to start up and refuses to ever reach the main menu, no matter what.

Would really like some assistance. It's one of his favorite games and we can never play it anymore.

Still nobody helps me. I bought the game like 2 months ago and I can not even play it once.

I've been having this exact same problem. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps but have yet to even get to the title screen. Can someone please help out with this?

This worked for me:

- Go to the instalation folder
- Right click on the .exe (launcher)
- Click properties
- Compatibility
- Compatibility mode for Windows 8

Run it.

facing the same problem , tried every solution suggested so far nothing has changed. I know its something with the windows update because it was working fine before that, anyone else having the same problem?

What worked for me was uninstalling the grpahics card, my laptop has two not sure what happend but when i uninstalled the Intel graphics card. The game was working smoothley again, even better with the Nvidia card which looks like I have never used. Hope this helps

Same Problem w/o any working solution so far. Pop Up with error message "SteamAPI_RestartApplfNecessary/() has been triggered. Aborting Steam.

my error says: failed to initialize draw system main.cpp(312), found it on common problems but mine doesnt solves

Downloaded and installed the version from the Steam's sales of summer 2018
