I had an extra Town Guard that lingered near the trash can when I went to replace him with a higher tier. He didn't do anything in the first battle, but afterwards he acted like an additional unit, I could even still use his ability and the UI supported it. I couldn't get any new units until I sold him AND another, which ultimately makes sense.
Hey sorry to hear about the issues and thank you for letting us know.
I will note these down and see if I can replicate them so we can get them fixed. For the issue with Barber Ian, did anything else strange happen during the session? Any crashes before the level up?
No crashes that I saw. And nothing else strange with the Barber that I noticed.
Hey. Thank you for the report. Has this happened with all starting characters or only specific ones?
Will have a look and see if I can replicate, but if you have any other info that's super helpful! :)
Edit: I managed to replicate it. Will get a fix up tomorrow once we've had a chance to track down what's causing this. Thank you again for letting us know! :)
Thanks to your report we managed to get a fix in now.
If you don't see the update restart Steam and it should download.
Really appreciate your help in tracking this one down! :)
That sounds terrifying. We're not doing anything strange with the drivers and we're using Unity which shouldn't be doing anything weird either.
If you could send us your Player.Log which is located in the C:\Users\[YOURNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Unleash the Giraffe\SeersGambit folder we can investigate further. Either on our Discord or by mail at unleashthegiraffe@gmail.com
Also might be worth to double checking your drivers to make sure they are up to date and if you have a chance to check with another game made with Unity to see if you get the same issue, that might be helpful to in tracking down what's causing this.
Appreciate the report and hopefully we can figure out what's causing this.
So figured it out. Since the same thing started happening in Rimworld (which has default vsync pretty sure and I got like 4-500fps so hot TF it goes to over 500 on 165hz monitor). It's not the game. It's my GPU drivers and their recently installed update turned on some frame generation nonsense. So when I go to full screen or switch it back and forth) it starts going in main menu from capped 120 FPS in windowed to 4-500 FPS in full screen ignoring the cap using this AI Frame gen tech nonsense. Causing my GPU that is not known for being chill to go instant 100% usage and keeps it there which it reasonably should never go near to in this game. And since my GPU is due proper dusting it overheat shutting down everything. Why it shuts down like that I've no idea still but it's my problem.
I guess "bigger" games i played recently had some walk around for that so it didn't happen there.
