The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Character model overhaul?
I'm looking at the Morrowind Nexus for mods because well let's face it, characters look better in Oblivion and Skyrim. Everyone in Morrowind looks like how little Nikki got beat in the face with a shovel.

Morrowind faces are bad, armor sets are bad, clothes are bad, the argonians walk funny, and I think it could use a across-the-board overhaul. Make all the character models, faces, clothes, and armors look better.

But the Nexus only has piecemeal mods for this. "here is a mod for faces" and "here is a mod for clothes" and "here is another mod for clothes, which fixes clothes that the other clothing mod missed" and "here is a mod for armor" and "here is another mod for armor" and "here is a mod just for hounds"

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Has no one ever thought of this before? Where is model overhaul mod?

It's 2024....

Go ahead and create one
Roflmao, I almost died in laughing after reading second time for confirmation that did I really read someone saying faces look better in Oblivion.

Oblivion probably has a better faces from a technical point of view, but not from an aesthetical point of view. Even the pixelated faces in Daggerfall look better than Oblivion's.

Haha, I don't actually know any game with worse faces than in Oblivion. Even FF games on SNES have better faces.
The faces in oblivion looks like they got stung by a buttload of bees

You must be wearing some serious rose-tinted glasses because it's a pretty cut and dry comparison. Morrowind models are crap compared to Oblivion.

Mid Oblivion character? Adrienne Beren

Here I even put them next to each other so you can look more closely:

I think that's a fair comparison by the way. If I wanted to be mean I would compare Sygny the Home-Wrecker to one of the Morrowind Argonians.

That's what the Morrowind models look like.

Compare the glass armor!

Oblivion: I'm going to cover myself in emerald plate mail

Morrowind: I'm going to stab myself with hundreds of glass shards

This is ridiculous guys. There is a clear winner here and it's not Morrowind.

Looooooooooooooooool, you chose Fargoth as an example :DDDDDDDDDDDDDD Think Fargoth looks great, as the Fargoth :DDD Can't really imagine him looking much different :DDD

And the oblivion dude is maybe the only normal looking dude in the hole oblivion.

Anyway, Remiel worded it before me much better what I meant. There is this aesthetics, Morrowind is successful in doing kind of alien faces, like the whole environment is a bit alien and otherwordly, surreal and dreamy. And Oblivion feels just another medieval cozy place, except the faces are just bad,

Fargoth when he's not pixelated:

ROFLMAO, that is is Fargoth in space :DDDDDDDDD

He's a wood elf and is supposed to look alien, and a fantasy world isn't a beauty contest

I prefer to use facelift + familiar faces but if you want something different but still inline with the game's art-style try Westly's Faces Refurbished + either better bodies or VSBR (which I personally still use). It is up to you really but I personally do not like many face and body overhaul mods as they often destroy the game's outstanding art-style which still holds up despite the dated graphical style which brings plenty of charm in it's own right.
Imagine having to make a point that a game's aspects look better 22 years later in pc gaming lol. if you played the game when it came out, I'm pretty sure you and I look worse than then. It's called getting old.

It recommends a mod called Robert's Bodies.... though I don't think its much of an improvement on the body mesh itself... the textures are a least a little better.

But honestly, I don't think there's much that can be done with the characters on such an old game, otherwise someone would have done it already.
Regarding the Body, Look for Better Bodies. I think the Creator of that one also made a Mod for Faces (not completely sure because I've never used that Mod myself)
