But... Capcom declared that 14 Weapons is returning, and never said there will be one or several more.

It's still possible for it to come in a later mainline game. but magnet spike likely won't come back because it was meant for the ridiculous frontier mania thus it is completely broken.

also maybe in potential DLC
it would be really cool. but the thing i would most like to return from frontier is my favorite monster Starving Deviljho.
