Summer vacation is just around the corner for us! Before we close our laptops and swap them for sunscreen, we wanted to give you a quick update on the game—what we've been up to this past month, where we're at, and where we're heading.

First off: We have created a much bigger world for our robot heroes, and it’s coming together beautifully. The maps—or gardens in the sense that the map consists of 857 eco systems —are looking really great. We’ve got distinct biomes, a working weather system, and even a circadian rhythm. Right now, it’s mostly just a pretty place to look at, but plans are in place to bring it to life with lots of activity.

We’ve also introduced small prototype worker robots (151,712 to be exact, over an area of 16 square kilometers), performing different tasks. They will change in variety later. Some will be good and nice, some bad, some small, some giant, some helpful, and some that want to kick your robot’s ass.

There’s going to be a lot to explore and many more creatures to encounter as your robot embarks on its journey.You’ll also come across your own kind along the way. I’ll dive deeper into the narrative specifics at a later point, but for now, enjoy this (long) video of ARES exploring the world we’ve built for him and his robot siblings. He’s chatty, but hey, he’s just excited to be alive.

Hi everyone

As many of you know, we showcased Machine Match at Nordic Game in Malmö this past May. Since then, we’ve received a ton of feedback and constructive criticism, which we’ve taken to heart.
This means we’re making some wild and extensive changes!


We’re building on all the good stuff: action, pace, chaos, customization, the vibrant colors and the sleek UI. Here’s what’s coming:

• Larger Maps: We will introduce procedurally generated maps enabling longer battles and more room for strategizing.

• Co-op Focus: Gather your team to tackle the baddies, or team up with friends to take on challenges together.

• More Players: Increase from 4 to 8 players. Join a team of four and compete against other players or non-sentient mechs and other "things."

• Mini-Mech Makeover: Our beloved mini-mechs are getting a complete makeover, allowing for even more personalization.

• Bigger Personalities: Each mech will have its own unique personality, thanks to a specially developed LLM. We can't wait to show you this - this is going to be awesome!

• Deeper Narrative: Explore the backgrounds of different corporations and mechs, and piece together this world where humans are mysteriously absent.

• Jetpacks: Because we all want jetpacks.

Don’t worry, we’re not scrapping the current arena mode. It’s just taking a backseat for a while as we focus on developing other exciting aspects of the game. In short, we're evolving Machine Match: Mini-Mechs into a fully-fledged, unique PvPvE experience. More details will be shared in the coming months.


We realize that with our current resources, we won’t be able to update the demo regularly with all the new changes and features.


But fear not! We expect to have a fresh version of Machine Match ready for playtest by the end of the year or early next year. And as always, we will rely on your feedback.
