Best game ever..

The premier WWII experience for me, the vanilla game and campaign itself is spectacular, and the cherry on top is that there are also fan-made, historically accurate mods that enhances that experience even more, (shout-out to Battle of the Bulge, Immersion 1944!), in spite of its age, this game is worth every penny and a legend of the RTS genre.

The interface is very difficult to control, it does not respond readily to mouse clicks, it does not select units readily, the mini-map view window tends to jump to places not selected by the player, FOR NO REASON AT ALL!
In addition the Relic Online servers are never online.

After 2h30 of gameplay, I don't think I will keep playing. I think the game is really well made overall, but it's not much fun. I would even say it's often painful. The main reason why I say that is because I find the units I give orders to to be unresponsive. If I compare this game to Warcraft 3, you tell a unit what to do and they do it instantly - it's very satisfying. That's what I like about RTS games. I love/like Warcraft 3, Age of Mythology and Impossible Creatures. I also love Dota2 (a MOBA, I know, but still controls like an RTS). On the other hand, I don't really enjoy RTS games like Dawn of War and Company of Heroes where your units either respond slowly to the orders you give, or don't even do what you tell them to do.

Good old strategy game

This game makes you feel like a tactical genius right up until your squad walks into an ambush and gets obliterated in two seconds. You’ll carefully position your troops, plan the perfect attack… and then a random tank rolls in and crushes both your strategy and your soul.

I've thoroughly enjoyed this game for many years now. One of the best RTS games to date... frustrating, intense, and ridiculously fun.

I will rate this one at a 8/10.
