I wanted to refund the game at first because I did not understand how the game worked. I could not refund it, so I decided I am going to beat the game. I looked up guides for how to play and suddenly the game opened up to me. Currently going through as a generalist wizard and having a blast. I understand why this game is considered a classic now, highly recommend to anyone who enjoys fantasy rpgs and willing to learn.

Baldur's Gate is a fantastic game, if you can accept and work through the design of its era. While combat can be sometimes un-intuitive or feel unfair, frequent use of the quick-save feature can help turn this into a learning experience. The story and characters of this game are fantastic, with great quests and exploration. Art and music is incredible and the DLC just adds even more to an already amazing game. I would recommend doing a bit of research on how to level or stat your main character class of choice, or you may end up becoming under powered due to how the game functions compared to modern days TTRPGs and CRPGs. All in all, incredible game with lots of depth, lore, story, and game play.
