May I ask why that enemies can attack in groups to attack one unit together and the player's unit can't?

So I'm (guessing) to be done with Chapter 2 in a few more Defense turns, and I haven't earned a single achievement despite the long-list of it. Is it just me, or did I screw something up when I played the DLsite demo the week before? Something with the system files could be interfering with it, but I'm not keen on messing with it unless it's just me. ...
