Hello! I am playing with an xbox controller. When I open some text down there says "item button, record this conversation". But I press everybutton on my controller and nothing happens, and I check and the text is not saved. What's happening?

I took note of all of mulbruks dialouge from the wiki and crossed out each one, but im missing this dialouge, "But the Mother has not been creating children on her own since the fifth children. Maybe her powers are weakening. Or maybe she can make other children. Will everything end once she is defeated, and the ruins sealed? Mulbruk scared". Anyone know how to make her say this?...

A few weeks ago I reinstalled the game and had fun playing it again. At the beginning I was still able to save but now the game won't save anymore and when I want to create a new file the game freezes. What can I do?
