to many microtransactions

Real time strategy more like part time strategy. Company of Heroes 2 excels in its modding community and its online multiplayer. It presents a laid back variation of RTS where the prime concern is making sure your units are where they should be way ahead of time and letting the action play out before you. There is little in the way of controlling units past general cardinal directions and prayer. Whether a unit wins or loses a fight is not within your direct control unless that unit is a specific, and I mean specific, counter to that unit OR a unit ability is utilized. It is an interesting flavor of RTS and I would recommend drinking alcohol while pursuing the single player campaign. All in all the game would be mediocre but it requires a lot of DLC to get the full picture and the game is not executed at the level to warrant such greed from the developers.
