I hadn't really played any point and click games in the past, but Broken Age really moved me as both a story and an actual game.

Vella and Shay were both incredible protagonists, and both of their stories were really fun. Wish they themselves could've interacted more but nice none the less. Plus the art style was incredible and the puzzles were challenging but fun. Great game, definitely underrated and I hope that more people play it.

If your looking for a simple game to run through in less than 15 hours, then play this.

Pros: Game design is cute, characters are interesting, and the plot is actually really good. Game is very polished, and I like the idea of going back-and-fourth between main characters. Very interesting!

Cons: The gameplay gets a bit old pretty fast for me. There are a lot of puzzles to solve (of course, it's a puzzle game lol). Some of the puzzles aren't hard to solve, but get tedious with the amount of moving back-and-fourth between areas (not a big deal, just a little annoying in my opinion). Other times, there are puzzles where I legit just had no idea what to do, so I just started clicking on everything I could find, until eventually I finally clicked on the right stuff in the right way to get through a puzzle, then I would sit there dumbfounded as to how anyone was supposed to logically figure out that solution based on the context given. Maybe I'm just dumb, not sure.

My recommendation is to play it normally without a guide for the story, then only use a guide when you really get stuck on a puzzle. I still think the game is worth playing through at least once, but I wouldn't spend 30 hours playing it. Just play it for the story, and be blown away :)
