Hello all,

Quick update here as we just patched the game Kickstarter demo!

Firstly, a huge thank you to the over 7500 players who have already downloaded the demo. I hope you enjoyed it! Since returning from my trip to Japan, we have been working tirelessly to finish the updated version of the demo, and I’m happy to say: it’s done!

You can find the updated demo on Steam right now (link).
In addition to the 1:30 hours of base content it already featured, you can now enjoy a brand new boss fight, updated puzzles, updated maps, and smaller general quality-of-life improvements. We also now have a latin spanish translation thanks to our friend Genow! Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the demo; it was super helpful!

Demo Feedback!

So I played the demo as the songstress. I love the art style and animations, they look very expressive! The music sounds nice and it's cool to be able to choose from retro and instrumental versions. The demo didn't feature a lot of combat encounters, but I think this system has potential. So here are things I think should be changed is some way: - Jumping feels clunky. - Charge attacks should not take that long to perform. And the time you charge attacks should affect how much damage characters deal. - Ru...

We’re super excited to show the brand new trailer for Tako no Himitsu, and to announce that the Kickstarter is live today!

Tako no Himitsu is an action JRPG made as a tribute to GBA classics - you can expect puzzles, party systems and a narrative that explores each character’s story and the world around them.

Alongside the launching of our Kickstarter campaign today, we’re excited to share an early demo of Tako no Himitsu - there’s over an hour of gameplay for you to enjoy, giving you plenty of time to explore some of the world and meet some of the characters!

As this is an early demo, there may be some bug and fixes that we’ll roll out (boss improvements are already on the list). If you encounter any bugs, or would just like to give feedback, you can join our Discord here[discord.com].

Hello from Deneos! We’re super excited to announce that we made a new teaser video for our game, Tako no Himitsu, and that it’s also coming to Kickstarter on July 10th!

We’re super excited to be bringing the game to Kickstarter; we’ve been hard at work over the last few months on developing the game, and the Kickstarter campaign will help us to add a few more things into the game. Hallo I finished the demo, some comments: - It was very easy. I suck at action games and it was still easy. I have tons of experiance with RPGs however and I played several action adventures (Zelda, Okami, Alundra) - I got stuck for some time at a puzzle: When you come to the altar you get the "push object tutorial" with an image of a statue. Tako approved Demo

I played the Demo right now. Cute little Demo, reminds me of the GBA Classic Era. It's a bit slow though, but I played FF7 right before the Demo. Rebinding the keys as some Users suggested might be great, espcially running. One question: do you only level up and the stats grow automatically or can we adjust the stats? At last, some little Takos für you!

I now listen to the soundtrack on bandcamp, to get further into the game before backing - I have some bad memories about kickstarte...
