Feedback from devs | FPS Drops in Dying Light after the last patch
Hey Survivors,

We are aware of your feedback related to the performance drop of Dying Light after the latest patch. If you would like to help us out in fixing that issue, and you experience such drops on your hardware, please follow these steps:

1) GPU - launch in the background TechPowerUp GPU-Z. Play the game, when you will experience FPS drop, make a screenshot of the software;

2) CPU - on windows, launch Resource Monitor (press Windows Key + R, type “resmon”). And same as above, in the moment of FPS drop make a screenshot of the Resource Monitor;

3) Send us your screenshots, along with PC specifications (using DxDiag.exe) via https://dyinglight.support.techland.pl/en/support/tickets/new.

Developers will take care of it as soon as the first emails arrive!

Thank you for your support!

I am experiencing these issues but blamed my 3600x and 2060 RTX for not being able to handle it ... For The Following even had to reduce most settings to Low to prevent this from happening too often but before the Patch it was flawless at 100 FPS.

Lots of stuff is happening at the moment. The important thing is to stay friendly and be respectful to each other. Techland should not stress themselves so much. Mistakes always happen, after all we are just human. They do an awesome job and in time all will be fixed. Keep up the great work and thank you for your transparency.

Should people with laptops even bother?
zbirek 11 Mar, 2022 @ 1:45pm
Miałem ten problem i przed patchem.

GTX 950m, i7 4720 HQ, Asus x550jx xx171d laptop. 50-60 fps on medium settings.
I have played Dying Light smooth back in the years. Like Pubg released a patch after 1.0 which thankfully let me get almost 60 fps to kill that fps, I got max 25 fps with that patch. That patch was for to kill old gpus and make people buy GTX 1050 Ti. I have been to computer-science things for years so I know what was happening.
So that; Techland decide to make something similar to Pubg and killed my gpu, I was able to get max 25-30 fps until some weeks ago that Dying Light released a patch under "old GPU fix" announcement.
No, it was never a bug or problem, it was literally a patch to kill old gpus to make/force people to buy new cards on purpose . That was like "barney".
And I am afraid, they are slowly taking that "hush money like" updates back to make us think yeah the game is great so I should upgrade my system. Just let me play it like old days that I play now. Leave us alone.

1660 TI 6GB on my end can run ghost recon wildlands at ultra settings without blinking, ever since this patch has come out, my game wont run at more than 30 fps whenever i am outside and mind you this is at the lowest settings, game has become unplayable for me now

Hi! yesterday I played Dying Light using my laptop with a GTX 1650 4GB, 16GB RAM and a Ryzen 5 4600H. My Laptop usually runs this game nicely (around 80 FPS with high graphics) but yesterday I changed my Graphic settings to Low and it constantly runs the game horribly (from 30 FPS dropping to 10 FPS).

i used to play rock solid 60 FPS with balanced graphics settings with my i7-6700hq, gtx960m, 16 gb ram, and ssd. after patch i get locked to 40 FPS and bunch of people saying my gpu is old trash.

My situation now gives me access to a laptop only so I sold my old pc which is a 9900k and 2080ti. Infact I don't see all the fuss in having a good desktop. I can play forza horizon 4, Dying light (before patch), and sleeping dogs, dirt 2 rock solid 60 FPS with my laptop. I play Jurassic world evolution at around 40 fps but thats because for a building game i don't need 60fps.

On the other hand games like dying light and tf2 needs to be at 60fps so I hope the devs will fix this soon.
