Crypt Custodian launches on AUGUST 27th!

I'm really excited to announce that Crypt Custodian will be released on August 27th! I can't wait for you all to be able to try it out. To celebrate this occasion and help get the word out, I've made a new trailer that shows off some juicy new footage; check out the new Release date trailer below:

Progress was deleted

I´ve played through the entire Demo and have almost 6 hours in the game. But suddenly when I wanted to check back in after I updated it due to the new patch my whole progress was somehow gone. I don´t know if anyone else had the same problem but it kinda sucks....

Summer Announcement + New Trailer @ Top Hat Studios Showcase

Hello everyone,

As you may have seen, we're participating in this year's Guerilla Collective! We participated in one in years past, and this time are not only participating again, but inside of our co-publisher's showcase!

With that said, we're extremely proud to announce that Crypt Custodian will be releasing this summer on not only PC, but all consoles as well.

A Sneak-Peek at Crypt Custodians Map and Features

I'm a huge metroidvania fan, and I always find myself getting excited by game maps, so I wanted to make sure Crypt Custodians map is bullet-proof. Here's a small preview of the games map, and map features:

Multiple Views

I couldn't decide between the more modern style detailed map (like in Hollow Knight or Ori), or the more classic block style (like in Super Metroid or Castlevania)... So I did both! You can seamlessly switch between both map styles. I find the classic block-style map is more useful for long-term planning, and figuring out which areas to explore next. And the zoomed in detailed map is more useful when looking around your immediate area.

Fast Travel

Shrines are littered across the landscape in Crypt Custodian. These are your save points, but they also allow you to fast travel. You can teleport immediately between any shrines you've discovered.

Map markers

You can mark your map in several ways. One is directly from the map screen, where you can place custom markers at any point of interest you find. And the other takes place at The Sinners Inn (the local bar in the afterlife), where you can pay a small fee to have any missed collectables marked on your map.

Please make sure to wishlist Crypt Custodian if you haven't yet! I'll do some updates delving into other aspects of the game later, let me know if there's anything you think I should cover!

No healing mechanic?

I really enjoyed the demo, but it felt so weird and punishing to not have a way to heal your character. Unless I'm missing something lol. Some of the levels were pretty tough not being to heal at all.

There is so much to love about this demo and the game it teases. It's how demos ought to be done. I want to gush about all the things I loved about it.

First of all, thank you to the developers of this game for providing players with such a meaty demo. I managed to get 115 minutes out of it playing on Hard difficulty (which was very fair and well-tuned, by the way!). And the experience left me seriously hungering for more. I just wanted to get past those "demo walls" that were in the corners of the map that were blocking my progress. Where to even begin with my praise? You made the basic gamefeel just right. Hitting things felt weig...

1440p?

Really enjoying the demo so far. But I was surprised that there is no 2560 x 1440p resolution which is the most common 1440p. Will this be added in the full game? Also, one thing did annoy me early and that's how enemies and objects spawn straight away after leaving and coming to a room. It kind of demotivates the idea of cleaning things and being able to explore freely after defeating the enemies. Any chance this can be adjusted or added as an option?...
