Genuinely awful. Matchmaking has no rhyme nor reason, bugged UI and gameplay mechanics, characters are unbelievably overpowered when released, and communication is non-existent from both players in game and from the company itself. Truly a piss poor attempt at a sequel that will divert attention from an already third-rate MOBA. I thought that investing into Smite 2 would be worth it, I disregarded the haters, because I thought this game would actually change and improve from some of the dated aspects of Smite 1, but, once again, the haters were right, this truly is just the OverWatch 2 equivalent of MOBAs. Rest in Piss.

If you dont mind the simple glitches while seeing them dump update after update for gods then this is for you. I personally say just wait until full release not worth $5 let alone 30 for the alpha. You get banned for others not selecting a god. Half of the time certain items do not work and you end up loading into a lobby 4v5 half the time. Solid work by smite in my opinion. Scarifycing gameplay to dump gods out like a temu factory is super smart.

Hey, I've been a long-time Smite player, and I really wanted to like the rework because Smite was starting to feel old as time went on. It was looking dated, and I was eager for some modern experience in Smite 2, especially with the Unreal Engine 5 rework. But man, they really messed it up.

Not to mention charging $30 for a free-to-play game just to be an alpha tester. At this stage, we should be getting paid for testing and giving feedback, not the other way around for such an early alpha version.

As much as I like the improvements in animation and visuals, the overly bright and shiny colors are awful and hard to look at. I honestly don't know what's going on with the lighting.

The gems you get from purchases in Smite 1 (legacy gems) are mostly worthless because the good items require combining two types of gems (pay-gems and legacy gems). Thanks for nothing.

I really hope they do something about the gameplay feel and the shiny colors. I might take another look when they release it, but launching the game in this state, even for alpha version, full of bugs and early dev, and charging $30 is just insane...
