I'm sure it used to play OK and when I play it on my old Win 7 machine I have no issues, but if I try to use any compatibility mode on my Win 10 machine, which is my gaming machine, the problem still persists, so I have to play through an entire full game without saving to gain any progress.
Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Reminded me a bit of Sid Meier's Starships, makes me want to play that instead!
The voices for both Americans and Brits speaking after mission completion (have not tried Germans or French) are sometimes in super-slow-mo; other voice work seems unaffected.
As suvgested above I set the .exe properties to run as admin with win XP emulation, and now the game runs fine.
It's actually a pretty good little game, for about the cost of a cup of coffee.
