no repairs in pit stop strategy?
I've tried playing in the "story" mode and in multiplayer and i'm not able to repair my vehicle without pausing and selecting "back to pits", which causes me to lose a lap.

On the pitstop strategy screen, both before and after starting a race, i don't repair options at all, just the ability to add fuel and change tyre pressures and compounds. pulling into the pit while a race is in progress just causes the crew to start whatever the currently selected strategy tells them to.

Whenever i select a strategy when i'm out on the track, it shows that i've selected not to repair any parts of my vehicle for that strategy, but i never got the option to even choose. this can be a huge issue when i've got a damaged wing and just want my crew to bolt a new one on without reverting to pits, replacing my warmed-up tyres with cold ones and weighing me down with the fuel level i set at the start of the race.

I've tried googling this issue and everybody's just saying to either select it in the strategy or just click on the body icon when i pull into the pits. The issue is that clicking on the body icon when my tyres are being changed or my tank is being filled doesn't do anything, and i get the feeling it's just a progress bar rather than a selectable option.

Any help would be appreciated.

When you are sat in the pits (after pressing 'drive') look to the right of the screen (sorry I am in VR) and there should be the pit menu...use the arrow keys to switch between the setups (3 by default but you can have as many presets as you want) and also use the arrow keys to move around in each preset and set the values for what you want to happenwhen you pit (Fuel, tyres, repair etc)...you then have to press escape and save that with your car setup from the setup menus...the presets will then save and load with your setup when you load it at the start of a race or whatever...when you then pull into the pit lane during a session, the preset menu will pop up automatically where you can then use the arrow keys (I have it set to a knob on my wheel with Joy2Key) again to select which preset you want when you stop the car at your crew.

Hope this helps.

oh my god, that works! i never would've thought to do it this way, because you can modify everything else in pre-race menus. why would they not put repairs in there? How bizarre.

anwyay, thank you very much for your help. now i can drive without constantly getting my immersion shattered by having to navigate menus to get repairs.

Aye there are some bizarre choices made with Assetto's menus etc...I would recommend the third party launcher 'ContentManager'...things are a lot easier and more configerable with that.
Enjoy your cars :)
