I switch tween wheel and controller. The ONLY WAY I got controller to work >FOR ME< is to set steering speed to 100%. FOR ME, without that, I was unable to steer properly or quick enough when needed, to make corners properly, or recover from a fish tail --- because the slow speed of pushing the joystick all the way to one side was far to slow to counter steer intuitively... again, FOR ME.
The draw back is full steering turns within the short throw distance of the tiny thumb joystick. BUT, I compensated by having better thrumb control and taking turns without moving the steering much.

Might sound like a lot, but I couldn't play this with a controller... .now I can, and most of my friend can't tell if I'm using a wheel or controller.

But, yes, even a cheap WHEEL will be way way way better. I wouldn't own this game without a wheel. The controller is just convenience for me here and there.

It's a whole new game/sim with a real wheel and pedals. Well worth it if you enjoy sims.

keyboard is playable. you need to tweak the 3 sliders for each car, though.
got a favorite car? ill try to give you a suggestion for it

google "assetto corsa controller assist by mrteslik". In the desciption you will see the google drive files. Download and choose any of that.

1.dont play on keyboard its not the best u should maybe get a wheel but if u cant use controller and install maybe some gamepad assist? ig
