How do you get the cryo-pod?

So I've completed the story (which I loved) and the post-game collection and my Nyuffles have unveiled their new invention, but I can't seem to find the cryo-pod availble anywhere. I've basically finished the game (I have greened out all sectors and visited every planet). Was there a bug with the new upgrade? I'd like to get those last two achievements.

Isn't the "new invention" the cryopod? Unless it was patched, the end of story mode is Nyuffles build a cryopod, and only in the no-egg run do you get the ship upgrade cryopod.
