Can some whale waste $$$ and get advantage against normal players? Or is it only customization that real money can buy?

Will this have it, I know the mobile version doesn't that's why I refuse to play it there but since we're on PC there should be a way to protect this from as many cheater as possible right? or is this dead on arrival?

This is something I've played for quite a while now. I like to think of it as Chess in the air. It's easy to learn how to play, what each piece does, what controls are used, but it's hard to master. This allows 2 teams of 5 to play against each other. Knowing how to cover your teammates. What kind of strategy to use against an unknown opponent, how you adjust to their play style to win the battle. Don't get me wrong, you won't have to master a ton of controls and the battles last about 5 minutes each so ...
