This is an older game though, so I can't expect it to work perfectly. However, I didn't have the jittering graphics as was suggested by another commenter and my game started up immediately. Now that I increased the resolution and was able to save it and see it in action, the game is getting closer to playable.
If this works, then next should be Undying, Alice, all of the old school NFS games, and more. The backlog of games from EA has some hidden gems, and hoping to get them on Steam soon enough. It'll happen if a lot of people buy these new ones, but making them accessible and working for most people will be part of the requirement for that success.
Here's to hoping that either this works for the majority of people or that EA is willing to provide a fix here and there. So far, I ain't disappointed for this being an old game from 2006? or 2009?
