error 309 FIX
If you are getting "a key component of SteamVR isn't working error 309" When trying to launch steamvr or steamvr game this might help.

first go to Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\bin\win64 (win32 if you're on 32 pc Im guessing.)

and launch as admin vrdashboard.exe <--- this will most likely take you to the steamvr opening space, not wmr steamvr home.

then open as admin vrmonitor.exe and vrserver.exe

it will not yet work properly but get things back up and running.

restart pc and should work properly then.

didnt work even after restarting 2 times, i believe that i have done nothing wrong because this is very simple to do.. maybe a little too simple.. suspicously simple....

Three notes:
1) Can you try switching to the SteamVR Beta, by right-clicking on SteamVR in the Steam menu, clicking Properties, Selecting Betas, and selecting SteamVR Beta.
2) Can you "verify integrity of tools files", also in the SteamVR Properties in Steam, under "Installed Files"
3) IF the above 2 do not fix you (please let us know if it does) Can you then try using DDU to fully remove any AMD drivers you may still have?
