Controller not working
Trying to play the demo with my PS4 controller which is fine for other games. Game's page even says "this game works well with your DUALSHOCK" or something like that. Only it doesn't even reckognize it's there and pretends like I have none connected. Tried with other games again, no problem.

Capcom, this is not how you sell games, you know?

Possible solution: try disabling steam input for the game (library - kunitsu gami - right click - properties - controller - in the drop down menu choose "disable steam input").
I did this to resolve some issue I was having when playing death stranding when using my ps4 controller. I tried this method with multiple games and often had success.

Doesn't work for Kunitsu sadly. Game needs a patch I think, i tried this and several other supposed fixes last weekend to no avail. They responded to my support ticket to ask me if I was using wired or wireless though (I was using wired), so hopefully they're looking into it.
Yeah, steam input isn't even activated for me to begin with.

My ps5 controller works fine, enable Steam Input from the game's properties on your library and then change the icons to whichever you prefer from the in-game menu.

The issue here is that the game advertises itself as having full (wired) controller support, but doesn't actually natively recognise any Sony controller.

Yeah you can get them to have base functionality with Steam Input or third party emulation software, but only by tricking the game into thinking it's using an Xbox controller lol. It's not ideal and means you miss out on features like the designed controller audio and fancy vibration stuff.
Same here. I had to use my snes 8 bitdo gamepad as my xbox gamepad doesnt work here. Capcom hasnt patched this issue so far.

Simply enabling Steam Input at the game properties worked for me and my ps4 controller
