from what i saw of the trailer its just "X part broken, replace with X part in a menu" where is the actual repair aspect of the game, or did i miss it

The last time I played the game was 6/25. Now the game crashes when it reaches the first loading screen every single time. I tried to start a new save file and uninstall/reinstall the game. Nothing helped. Any suggestions?
