no. this is the original, the one we loved back then. While i agree there should be a link or something for the remake, im against a complete replacement of the original.

i dont care about original someone love "somewhen", i only care about what makes sense.
yes, remake should be default game and classic and HD could be a link as alternative start or a mod from workshop or something. the default customer just HAS to know that there is a working game version outthere except this broken ♥♥♥♥.

If the remake is still log > plank > leather/plank + pig -> skin -> leather = a single leather armor, I rather pass.

My only issue with the remake is, i cant seem to figure out how to build a siege workshop or a townhall, which locks me out from the siege weapons and the townhall units.

Siege weapons were removed, dev said he/she/idon'tknow one shot one kill weapons were too imbalanced when spammed, Town hall is actually available in the latest beta version on discord, i'm not sure about the stable version.

KaM Remake should be delivered as Steam Workshop App just like Terraria "tModLoader". This way you keep the original while providing the remake version. This would be a conclusion to satisfy somehow everyones requirements.

No, KaM Remake has a very simple AI (or might be broken), old game is much harder.

Remake or not you can pretty much beat the whole game with just your starting units, might take a load or two but all you have to do is lure with a single archer and beat the enemy "army".

What? The AI is more intelligent in the remake, so many people are so poorly informed about the remake.

Considering in some levels the AI don't even build towns in the original version of the game when they should or serfs get trapped or take ridiculous routes for quick journeys as well.

i was told to get the kam remake as mine just crashes, it all sounds so complicated why not just have an update or a dlc file that you can choose which version you use when starting up from Steam library?
i am not even bothered i just want a game that doesn't keep crashing, you would think you could get one of those in the 21st century

install knights and merchants from steam and start it once (and close).
goto kamremake discord (kamremake . com and follow the discord link)
at kamremake discord, open the "new versions" room where you can download the current beta releases.
Its more recent than the very old 2014 release.
its written in kamremake-com FAQ too.
Then just install.
