Back in the (indeed) good ol' days you had gaming magazines that came with a CD of demos. Knights and Merchants was in one of those I bought. It was only one level but I got hooked and eventually got the full game. Just recently I had a flashback of this game after playing Townsmen - A Kingdom Rebuilt on my phone. It's a Settlers/K&M clone, but not as good as K&M. I just bought K&M and I'm a kid again!
