For what it's worth, (not much) all the bodies are adults.

welcome to the real world... just wait, I'm sure they'll have a mission with dead pets.

"Story too dark"

Well, perhaps you should go play minecraft instead. For what it's worth, the story is exactly the sort of thing I'm excited to play through.

Honestly I was assuming you'd be assisting the police with cleaning up when reading the title, though it makes more sense this way, I guess...still didn't have to start with that. Crime scene could be anything like a non-violent break-in.

Yeah, I expected the 14-year-old wannabe-gangsters would come here immediately ;-)
...its a crime scene cleaner game lol

You have 97 hrs in Saints row 3, stfu.
Play Viscera Cleanup Detail instead. Same thing but less dark, with aliens sometimes and in spaaaaaaceeeee. (Well it is still dark but way more subtle and not mafia related).

Nevertheless it looks like this game will have some kind of story, having to earn money for your daughter treatment, being able to leave clues for the cops... So I wouldn't be surprised if there are several endings like betraying the mafia, getting killed or arrested, losing your daughter... Some good, some bad and some grey.

Don't throw the towel on this game because it is dark, your character may have ways to redeem himself through the story. Possibly. We will see.

Understandable but a letdown that the devs don't have the guts to show the dark realities of life. Look at the ending of the movie Sicario for example, or at one of the missions of the videogame Ready or Not where in one of your raids as a SWAT member you come across an overdosing little kid on a meth raid.

Your "non-violent" version only fits to living creatures included right now. I doubt to find a game where you just replace a broken lock / window each level due to vandalism.....
I doubt that this is worthy to be called a "crime scene" then.

It's right there in the game description that you work for the mob.
I honestly thought it was going to be like the companies that you can hire after a traumatic death as well, but this is still interesting. You can't have this type of game without violence. Even normal crime scene cleaning does not do basic robberies. It's murder, suicide, people that have been... left alone after death for a while. Bio-hazards. Some do hordes. Law enforcement does not have a team that cleans up after that. You either do it yourself or call a company (if you don't know what you're doing call a company).

I'm interested to see where the story leads. Admittedly I only looked at the title was on board for the demo.
