My "So Far" opinion on the game (RANT) Rating

UPDATE *Not from the Devs, unfortunately* Now that Me and my bro beat the game, I can give a fair rating. Since I played it on my bro's Switch, they don't do ratings on there so here will have to do. PROS - great Spritework Visuals are amazing and a lot of work was put into the animations, so I give credit were is due. -Music (I Guess) Defiintely good remixes of the originals, but screw stage 5-6 in its entirety (I'll explain in Cons) -Controls (part of it) The basics are pretty simple (Slash, jump, da...

The control feels unnatural.

Every time when I tried to do something it always feel stuck. For example, when I swing the sword or throw chain there is no way to cancel the attack. In other word, there is high possibility to be taking damage and feels stuck. It maybe natural for 1980 era. But In 2020 era it goes too much. Also i played co op mode. I didn't played solo play though but the difficulty is ridiculously high comparing NES VERSION or other TANGO PROJECT game. even completing stage 1 is too difficult. Not only game play f...

強烈ノックバックに残機ナシにレトロ時代特有のクセ挙動と、古参ゲーマー向けの一品。素材は良い作品なんですが、レトロの良い部分を残して他は現代に合わせるという試みがなく、悪い部分も再現しているので万人向けとは良い難い。ただ昔のアケゲーを目指すという点では成功している印象。

The game is great apart from two issues, one of which makes me not recommend it

#1 the progress save isn’t clear. If you pause and return to title you lose all progress. I’ve lost several games this way. If you die and return to the title screen it save the game. Devs please fix this. I held off refunding the game as I was hoping they would fix this.

#2 when hanging on a wall you need to press jump to get onto the platform but when hanging on a rail/platform you need to press up. Annoying and inconsistent.
