it's a bad port, recom port has tons of issues. I guess this is potentially another bug, the only suggestion I have is to verify the game. if that doesn't work then idk, might be your card drivers or something.

no issues for me. using the same icon type and a dualshock 4 controller

I have been grinding a few levels a day in COM and it has never happened before, and i have been playing for more than a week. but suddenly it started happening exactly as in your screenshot both in COM and KH2.
Im using a ps4 controller.
Even after updating graphics driver, the problem still persist.

Played through CoM but didn't run into anything like that. I'm going to guess it's caused by the button layout? Maybe try adjusting it in the config?

@PKblaze when did you last play either COM or KH2 ?. havent happened to me since release, i have played all of KH1 and COM, started on KH2 nothing of the sort ever happened but when i played both COM and KH2 today it started happening just like op's screenshot show. its not gamebreaking but still a very major issue none the less.

Been playing CoM from around a week ago until today.

I'm experiencing this too. It started like 7 hours in for whatever reason. And when this happens, the game is likely to crash on screen transitions as well. Very annoying.

Experiencing the same thing in KH2 (which was a surprise completing KH1 without any issues).

I had the same issue today, and like you it "fixed itself" when I touched my keyboard to make it think I was on M+KB.

I hear that the entire KH1.5+2.5 has issues with AMD cards, and while I had no issues at all with KH1 and KH2 (knock on wood) ReCoM has been crashing for me constantly since I got to the second group of worlds. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this was related to that (since I have an AMD card).

Just curious, but what kind of controller are you using? I have noticed that my Xbox One controller has been having a few issues with this game.

My menu keeps changing from english to spanish randomly. The only thing that keeps getting affected is the sub-menu text. What the hell is up with this port?

That is a specific issue caused by button icons 3, switch to 1 or 2 and its "fixed".

I have an NVidia and managed to run into this, too. Menus keep going wrong; also got a crash after they started. Pretty deep into the Reverse grind, too, so this is annoying.

I reported this in GillianMC's problems discussion thread, but yes this issue happens constantly. I have a 6650xt, with ryzen 7 5800x cpu (no integrated graphics option), and a B550 MPG motherboard. Running a linux environment (pop!os with experimental proton) fixed all of these rendering issues for me, with no crashes across 45 min of testing situations known to crash.

I didnt know moving your mouse seemed to fix it, it seemed random to me as I use a dualsense (ds5) controller exclusively with these games.
