Maybe Something went wrong during the Installation. Try the following:

1. Open Steam.
2. Click on the "Library" tab to view your list of games.
3. Find and right-click on the game
4. Select "Properties" from the menu.
5. In the Properties window, go to the "Installed Files" tab.
6. Click the "Verify integrity of game files..." button.
7. Wait for it to finish and try again

What type of GPU do you have? If AMD, then this is a well known problem.

I have a 3080 ti

maybe try texture downgrade mod? if that doesn't work, try seperating the exe from the collection (check into it it's somewhere on forum here, thought I saw someone say that helped fix some crashing issue, but not 100% if I remember right)

HAve you tried playing wiht the graphic settings? Just try random stuff until it works

I figured out what was wrong. im using an app called overwolf to record gameplay but i guess it was interfering with the game. i just have to make sure to close it before i start i have no more issues. thanks for the recommendations though :)

it turns out it was an app i use called overwolf to record my gameplay. once i closed it before starting it i had no more issues. thanks for the recommendations :)
