My theory about Donald Duck's anger.
My theory about Donald Duck is that he suffers from a mental illness that causes intense mood swings and fits of anger, most likely PTSD from his service in WW2

Donald's erratic behavior isn't just a personality quirk but a sign of deeper psychological issues. Some suggest he might have undiagnosed bipolar disorder, leading to swings between hyperactivity and impulsiveness during manic phases, and withdrawal and despondency during depressive periods.

So, Donald's angry outbursts aren't just for laughs but show his inner struggles. In moments of rage, he lashes out at others, inadvertently causing harm.

Lastly, what if Donald Duck's lack of pants isn't just a cartoon quirk, but a deliberate choice with a darker explanation? Perhaps he actually lost his pants as a symbolic representation of a traumatic event. Maybe an entity stripped away his pants as a symbol of stripping away his dignity and control. Since that encounter, Donald has been unable to bear wearing pants, as it serves as a chilling reminder of his vulnerability and the terrifying experience he endured.

His insistence on going without pants becomes a coping mechanism, a way to assert control over a situation that once left him powerless and exposed.

No... simply... no.

Depending on what you want to call their world, it is NOT our world. It isnt even our universe. So you are taking something that happened in our world, and trying to apply it to the "Disney" world.

That doesnt work, as they have never actually had a war in the same way and concept as we have. Mickey, didnt take over from some tyrant trying to rule over Disney.

Thereby making Donald simply a jerk, for no other reason than, because he is a jerk.

In fact, the Donald we know today, is different. Just like Mickey isnt the same Mickey as Steamboat Mickey. Well it IS, but isnt... This is where Disney gets kind of confusing, similar to trying to link all the Zelda games. They are linked, but not really.

Pluto was taken as a ward of the state in order to keep the Goofs in line after their failed rebellion, and Mickey keeps him on a leash and eating out of a bowl in order to send a message. Donald probably suffers PTSD from that war.

Donald isn't a jerk. He's relatively greedy, but he's focused on the mission and determined to find Mickey in the first game.

It's easy to forget that Sora, Donald and Goofy are NOT friends through most of KH1. They are just working together for their own ends, finding Mickey for Donald and Goofy and looking for Riku and Kairi for Sora. It isn't until Hallow Bastion that Sora, Donald and Goofy actually are friends when Goofy throws himself between Riku's attack and Sora.

Until then it was a strictly business relationship. Donald was the one who offered Sora to join and even Goofy was like "Are you sure?" with Donald making it clear that he only offered because Sora had the keyblade and they had to stick with the "key" that Mickey told them about. Not even Goofy wanted Sora along initially.

Their friendship eventually gets strong enough that they put their lives on the line to help a Sora that they know isn't real in Re:Coded and do so without hesitation.

Donald isn't even particularly angry in KH. Its an attribute they forget about before the first game even finishes.
