Can someone explain to me what the DROP mechanics do?
Like every time I drop and switch Character, I can simply just drop and return back to Sora or Riku right? So like what is the point of it? Is it bad if I keep dropping (switching characters to and fro?)

No real negative.

There is a Drop Me Not item that you can use that refills the bar too.

So using those right before it runs out negates the entire mechanic too

If you choose to switch immidiately you loose the stat and other type of bonus.

Its mostly a story/theme mechanic.

As a gameplay thing, its easy to manage.
