One fateful day, Sora - a boy chosen by a key-shaped sword known as the Keyblade - set out to reunite with Riku and Kairi, his dear friends. He was accompanied on this journey by Donald and Goofy, following orders from King Mickey. To save the world, the door needed to be locked from both the Realm of Darkness and the Realm of Light. And so, Riku chose to stay in the Realm of Darkness.
Organization XIII, a mysterious group working in the shadows, appeared many times before Sora, setting all kinds of conflict in motion. The Keyblade was vital for the completion of Kingdom Hearts, the heart of all worlds formed of the hearts of people.
These conflicts over Kingdom Hearts were all carried out according to the will of Master Xehanort, whose goal was to bring about The Keyblade War. Having discovered this truth, Sora and his friends set about gathering the seven guardians of light to resist the darkness.
King Mickey and Riku begin searching for the whereabouts of past Keyblade wielders, while Sora, Donald, Goofy set out to visit the Disney worlds again to regain the power of waking.

The other tale that unfolded during the climax of KINGDOM HEARTS III.
Determined to rescue Kairi, Sora travels to the Keyblade Graveyard a short time before the final battle was to take place.
Lacking a corporeal form, he traces the hearts of the seven guardians of light. Through experiencing their personal battles firsthand, Sora is about to discover truths that he has never before imagined.
