Too many enemies
The only drawback to this game. You can't go 5 seconds without a pack of enemies interrupting what you were doing.

Makes it really hard to take in and appreciate the beautiful world they've created. You can opt to fast travel but same issue, you're not getting time to appreciate the fine details of the game world.

Game even says that sticking to the road will keep you safe but enemies will be in your path.

I think the game devs need to play a game like RDR2 and get a better understanding of pacing. Having a pack of enemies every 5 feet is not the optimal game design for an open world.

When you exaggerate like that, you make yourself *a quintillion times less believable*

There are not enemies "every five seconds" (or every 5 feet).
What difficulty are you playing on? One of the goals of this game is stealth: you have to discern where to go, be careful, not be noticed, lure into a grove and eliminate, use a precision bow or bombs, there are also cables, and Select the right type of ammunition or run away. Also there are busy areas and quiet areas, you have to learn to understand this game and its machines.

I use the story mode, it's like the infinite life mode of the old games: lots of resources, few enemies. As far as I'm concerned it's a balanced mode between quiet walks, story and fights. With this mode, it's an easy and enjoyable game if one like that.

I'm playing on the difficulty one notch above normal, so hard if that's what it's called.

I'd say stealth is a presented as an option but not forced upon the player. You can go in guns blazing. But I don't want to be stealthy when I'm just trying to get from A to B in an open world game. Sometimes I'll fast travel to a camp and enemies will immediately be in my path on the road, so I just have to run through them and heal up as they take shots at me until they lose interest & lose aggro.

For a game with a world as massive as this, it feels very claustrophobic. The quiet areas you talk about seem to be very sparse. If I was the game director I'd have cut the amount of machines on the map by half. It feels so... Ubisoft.

Seriously, WHERE is this happening to you??

The areas where there are machines along the main roads, it is justified by the story (such as the main road from Daytower to Meridian, guarded by the Stormbird, or the path from Mother's Crown to Daytower, which has recently seen an influx of machines as it was abandoned by Nora Braves as a buffer zone).

But from the Gate of the Embrace to Mother's Crown, you barely face any machines along the way; the path from Meridan to Maker's End is 2 in-game kilometers and has 2 groups of machines, etc.
The game gets easier the more machines you kill and strip for parts. Killing machines is how you earn money for upgrades and it's the best way to get prime weapons modifications. You can avoid the harder machines such as the stormbird near Daytower (cut through the Hunting grounds) Daytower is also where you start being able to buy the very rare (purple) weapons but only if you kill a bunch of machines before then so you can afford them. It's also important to hunt all the different animals so you can upgrade the number of ammunition and health tonics available. I like killing machines so much that I never use a machine mount for travel, I do everything on foot hunting machines and animals as I go. But if you really want to avoid machines then use a mount for travel and just gallop past them.

bad bait.

If it seems like you are aggroing enemies left and right everywhere you go it might be because you're not wearing anything with stealth stat. This is not just for stealth combat. It's good for running between packs of enemies without alerting them. The higher your stealth stat, the closer you can get without being attacked.

The Quiet Sprint skill helps a lot with this too. If you're noticed you can always swap armor to something tougher for combat if you want. But for just running around the open world? Wear stealth. Get Nora Silent Hunter and slot stealth mods in it.

More enemies=more resources and also it makes the environment not looking dull and boring.I wish there's a roaming metal devil for fun

I'm okay on resources. I actually found myself having to constantly sell salvaged parts and other resources because my sack was getting full all the time.

I prefer my enemy cadence to be more similar to RDR2, where I can really soak in the environment and take in the beauty of the world they built. Just too many interruptions or sneaking around enemies for my taste. The only downside to an otherwise 9/10 game.

Why don't you just sell the stuff? There're merchants scattered all over the place.

99% of enemies in the game you can just ride past. A good majority of them you can just run by on foot.
