Nice. I felt a bit sad having to skip TLoU2, Spiderman 2 and HZDr and all the other Sony titles. Thanks Sony for getting things straight and fair, finally.

Same, I was shocked that the HZD remaster required that PSN stuff. Was looking forward to replay HZD remaster before playing Forbidden West but used the old version instead..

Good that they reflected on that decision and offered an alternative.

I'm just waiting for it to change over before I buy. Been looking forward to playing the remaster. HZD is in my top 10 games.

That's the right way to promote the PSN for PC players. Don't force it, just offer some in-game goodies for it.

It worked for me at the release of Forbidden West. Sure, I used a unique email for the PSN account and I have given as little information as possible (iirc name and country, nothing serious). So far, I did not get any messages from them.

I had no problem creating a useless PSN account and (temporarily) linking it with Steam, but I still welcome this change.
For me the annoying PSN-Overlay was a much bigger issue and the future and hopefully end of that junk is a lot more important than a meaningless account...

Awesome! Another victory showing you do not mess with the PC player.

They can keep their worthless trophies and and pointless unshockables, but at least I may buy another Sony game in the future.

it's 30th of January 2025 and this garbage has still not been removed.. Bought the game, yet NO OPTION TO BYPASS THE GARBAGE PSN ACCOUNT LINKING.

I won't buy it until this has been removed.
I don't need PSN crap don't have a PS and will never get one my platform is Steam only buy here and nowhere else.
For every ♥♥♥♥ you need an account I hate that
and in the end there will be server shutdowns and not even singleplayer games will be spared.
