Update the Demo!

Hello everyone.

In addition to the behavior, equipment, and balance adjustments, we have also made significant updates to the graphics for the demo version that is currently available. We have also made adjustments to the game's operability. As a milestone on the road to the game's completion, we hope that everyone who has already cleared the demo version and everyone who is yet to do so will enjoy playing it!

First impressions

First things first, I want to acknowledge the movement system. I did not find anything in moving around or fighting enemies that made me think "this is not right" or "this is paced wrong". While hard to notice, this can be the difference between a good game and a bad game. Basically, the foundation for this game is good. Graphically it's quite lacking. Demo Now Available

Hello,
The demo version of “Witchroid Vania: A Magical Girl’s Fantastical Adventures” has been released in conjunction with the June 10, 2024 edition of Steam Next Fest. The game can be played up to the “Orc Forest” in the early stages. Please also enjoy the final confrontation with the powerful enemy, the Orc General!

The demo version will continue to be available after Steam Next Fest.

Hello everyone.
We have decided to release The demo version of "Witchroid Vania: A Magical Girl’s Fantastical Adventures" in time for Steam Next Fest, which will be held on June 10 (PT).

We hope you will enjoy the journey of Lily and her companion, a mini-dragon, in their magical training before the release of the full game, even if it is only a small part of the game. :)

Demo Feedback

Controller Support works, Didn't see that many graphical configuration options but game doesn't seem to need them. Spells are good but I would've liked to see more quick acting spells. Otherwise this just seems like a very solid effort.

Where does the Demo End?

I cannot enter Zaram so I assume thats it? Unless, at the farm they mention a boar but I have killed them all. There also a switch nearby that I think drops a plank!? Not sure why as its pointless.

The art is nice, but the gameplay needs work, along with extra details

The NPCs need to be animated more. The cows move their heads and look like they're grazing, the NPCs all look like cardboard cutouts, which is disappointing since they're supposed to feel more "alive." I suggest you add at least breathing animations or some minor idle animations, like the farmer adjusting his hat or moving a pitchfork up and down to adjust it. The heroine's run animation is missing a head bob. It feels like her arms and legs are moving while her neck is not moving at all, meaning it feels...
