Not true. Both versions have there own achievements. The original just has a bug in the way it shows your progress. There's no way to fix the bug, but if you fully unlock the achievements, they'll still pop anyway. You just won't know how close you are until then.

Soooo.... 2024 and still no bug fix for achievement counter managed to get all but one the "No stone unturned" - I clearly go in hidden area, and the counter is same

Keeping only one save file did the trick for me.

My Bash Master (Bash off enemies 10 times) was not registering. Tried on that rhino and also on the birds (got a streak of 26), still it did not unlock the achievement.

So I deleted all my saves slots, and started a new game and played without creating any copies. As soon as I completed Ginso tree, I tried bashing on rhino near water. Unlocked Bash Master in first try. 50 Stomps kills was also stuck before, that was also unlocked.
