Update 1.6 just went live and you know what that means…?
Of course you do - lots of lovely updates and changes to the game. The development team have been busy, and this update is the BIGGEST one so far!

Before we go into detail, let’s recap what we have done until now:
• Added new Terminator Class
• Improved network
• Added offline play
• Added new missions

For Update 1.6, we’ve added a bunch of missions for the Skirmish mode from the campaign as well as a completely NEW MAP that will keep you on your toes on Mars! And of course, we are saying NO to cheaters and improved our anti-cheat and anti-grief system!

We've also added a "co-op" campaign which enables a few things;
• Everyone can now see the world map events and experience the full campaign together - with the host making decisions.
• An option that is enabled by default and limits the equipment of the campaign to the researched technology, can be turned off so that players use their profile and not technology - but must be done at the start of the campaign.

You can now vote to kick players as a team and personally mark players through the ""Avoid Player"" system. If there should be some problems within your squad, and the majority of the team does not get along with another team member, you can make that member leave and mark them.

As you can see, we put a lot of time into this update and hope you will enjoy all the changes!

• Flameburst cooldown increased by 5 on all levels
• Gass pressure mission will detonate on failure visibly on the client now
• Improved muzzle flashes
• Barricade destructive resistance reduced by 5% so convoy has easier time destroying them
• Added information on the profile when buying modules in which slots they go
• Bestiary is showing correct hunter now
• Biomass tentacles can be hurt the moment they get out
• When eaten by creeper player will no longer end up in the broken state
• UI improvements
• Convoy vehicles do less damage so in certain missions you have to protect them
• Red storm will not reduce your energy to 0 anymore
• Synced Red Storm lightning strikes

We have some exciting news for you! Today we have released a brand new trailer that focuses on the different mission types which you will encounter in Red Solstice 2: Survivors.

Red Solstice 2: Survivors will challenge you with a variation of missions and challenges and you won’t be able to catch your breath. Let’s take a look at them:

Exploration: Those are missions, where you are not pressured against time and can do the mission at your own pace. Planning is key in Red Solstice 2: Survivors and to defeat the Biomass infection you need to study it. This could be done by retrieving technology from an infested colony, locating the Biomass source, investigating a facility or by escorting a group of civilians or a convoy to the evacuation zone.
Stealth: You versus the deadly Hunter! In these 1 on 1 stealth missions, you have to avoid the powerful Hunter creature before it eats you alive. At the same time you still have to finish the objective and make it to the end of the mission. In a very tense atmosphere you need to carefully explore the surroundings and eliminate critical targets in order to survive. On the other side, you will also be on the hunt to take out creatures which are becoming a bigger threat for you and human mankind.

Survival: Fight through a horde of enemies, hold a position or defend a bunker against a Strol attack. In Red Solstice 2: Survivors you have to be ready any time to fight and save Mars! These are most known survival missions where you are pressured against time in order to finish the objectives.
All missions will take place in different environments including different weather effects. In one mission you might have to locate the Biomass infection in a reactor facility and then you are being called up to hold your position in the desert against a giant sandworm..

That’s not all! Besides the primary missions, you will also be able to explore a load of secondary missions. It’s totally up to you whether you want to try them out, but make sure you are fully prepared to enter the battlefield!

SURVIVE – RESEARCH – FIGHT BACK!

We’re thrilled to announce that Ironward have partnered up with 505 Games to bring Red Solstice 2: Survivors to Steam on June 17th!

Red Solstice 2: Survivors takes place in the year 117 After Earth when corporations rush to secure dominance over the last remnants of humanity. Players command a team of up to eight in online co-op or can blast their way through a deep single-player campaign as they work strategically to lead operatives, research new technologies, and counter a mutant invasion taking over the colonized planet.

Ahead of the game's launch, a Steam Playtest is set to start Friday, March 12 through Monday, March 15.

Hello everyone, let's talk about patch!

Idea for all of those changes was to shake things up a bit and try to bring older classes and their roles back into action so people have to think proactively about ammunition and tactics

• Doubled maximum limit on all classes! 2 Terminators / 2 Hellfires etc. are now a thing!
  
• You can swap marines with TAB without being in tactical mode now for singleplayer and survival games
  
• Savage burners will do fire damage now on any class if there is no different damage mod active from skills
  
• Energy, toxic, explosive when activated will always override item passive damage mod
  
• Vindicator overcharge damage is doubled
  
• Friendly damage caused by overcharge reduced from 350 to 250
  
• Vindicator overcharge will do 100% damage in it's entire radius to enemies
  
• Arclite will get it's full damage potential 50% faster when burning single target, increasing it's dps drastically
  
• Vindicator weapon damage increased from 500 to 850
  
• Fiery shockwave cooldown reduced to 10 sec
  
• Napalm grenade cooldown reduced to 30 sec
  
• Autocannon load systems damage increased by 10 per level
  
• Autocannon will only do 10 friendly damage per shot
  
• Suppress target skill: -90% damage while using it
  
• Holer health increased by 200
  
• Hellspawn resistance Piercing 85 > 95 / Energy 25 > 55
  
• Behemoth and Lyganesh resistances Piercing 10 > 80, Hollow 20 > 50, Energy 0 > 80
  
• Holer resistances changed to Piercing 50 > 90, Hollow 80 > 20, Energy 35 > 20, Toxic 20 > 0, Shotgun 40 > 0

Hello everyone.

First thing to say is that we will be at Gamescom in the business hall 3.2 A011, so if you know any journalists/streamers that would like to play and see the game exclusively, they can join us at our booth there and talk to us!


We've been hard at work on The Red Solstice 2: Survivors and yes we know that you are all eagerly awaiting any news.

One new thing is that the player will take the role of the Executor, a corporation appointed individual who is in charge of executing important missions across planet and striking the STROL in order to change the war in humanity's favor.

Soon we will show the new trailer and also announce the alpha testing for all willing to get in and become the best marine they can be.

We will talk more about the alpha when the trailer is out.

In the meantime we will show you an additional teaser for the new trailer which will be crazy, and it also continues the story where the last trailer ended.
