Why Isn't LEGO Dimensions On PC?
The game is available for Xbox, Playstation, and Wii U, but not for PC.

I know right! WTH! Im not going to buy any of the sets because of this.

A lot of other Lego games are on Steam.
Its not like they cant make a version for Steam. I'll buy a Starter Set and redeem the Steam code if they do. (Or a chaper basic version. When I can afford too.)
They should also make it compatable with Linux. So Steam Box and Chrome OS users can play it too.

I hope Lego, WB and TT Games hears us.

Because of Skylanders and Infinity. Everybody is jumping on the same band-wagon. They know people will spend more money on playing games if they need to purchase figurines to play them. And, apparently they are also collector’s item. So, go figure. I don't own any of them and I'm not planning to purchase this one either.

Let's just hope this isn't like Amiibo and they actually stock the things.

Nope, both of you are wrong and I tell you why =)

Leog Dimensions is unlike Skylanders and Infinity a real "Toys to life". Why? Because of the fact that you can actually use your own Legos with the portal and the figures as toys, means you can put them off the pedestal and play with them after you finished the game, which is amazing for kids unlike Skylanders or Infinity, which are just statues and not even action figures, which is a pretty shame, because this had a lot of potential.

Like Skylanders, you can finish the game with only the three characters, no extra pack is necessary for this. If you complete the full game for completion or trophies/achievements however, you won't get around it, that is a no brainer.

When it comes to the game, it will be like a typical Lego game, full of fun and entertainment as we know from earlier Lego games.

I also doubt that the stocks will be short like Amiibos, since WB is working tight with Lego, who knows how to handle this things like stocking their products and suplying their customers. As of why there is no PC version... they have the sandbox game running at the moment and want to see how this goes. If the games goes well, maybe we will see Dimension come to PC as well. :steamhappy:

And you know this because you played the game? I don't follow media hype. I'll wait until some people actually play the game. To me it is the same thing. You will have to buy figurines to play it, like it or not. And I agree that you can play with them afterwards, but I don't see a point. You could buy those figurines even now, they all exist. They only difference is you can't use them with the game. The game figurines will work on the same principles as afore mentioned Skylanders and Infinity. Don't build high expectations for this game until you actually play it.

Guys CHILL!!!
When Disney infinity first came out it took almost A YEAR before it came out on PC (Granted skylanders released PC version within 1st week of being on shelves BUT IT TOO came after console versions :) ) . So just give it a bit (Need I remind you of LEGO Worlds that is, for now, PC ONLY?) My estimate is 2 months at least ( and that is a HUGE at least -- if I was really being realistic I'd say 6 months, and even then I'm being pretty steep, but I'm trying to be optimistic) 2 YEARS at most.
Trust me.
If they're gonna do it, they're gonna do it within that timeframe. I emailed WB about WHY they aren't releasing it on PC, but all I got was "Sorry, I'm not allowed to disclose information about upcoming products. Sincerely yours, Automated Message":steamfacepalm:
seriously, what do they pay these guys for?
Anyways, we'll see how it turns out.

Sincerely,
Your LEGO-loving overlord,
Deadpool

yes, thank you FOR TORTURING US AND FURTHER REMINDING US THAT WE WON'T BE ABLE TO EXPERIENCE THIS GAME!!! WE R TALKING ABOUT WHY LEGO DIMENSIONS ISN'T ON PC! NOT HOW MUCH FUN IT WILL BE 4 EVERYBODY ELSE!!!
Da_Countant 1 Oct, 2015 @ 6:21pm
maybe its because you have to buy a plug in platform for the game and you have to get lego figures that work with the pad that you would need:sticky::sticky:

Likely because of sales. They don't think that most PC gamers will really buy it, as PC gaming is (for the most part) all digital, and you need physical hardware to play.

Dont think lego dimensions would work on PC because it uses an HDMI cable, not sure if Microsoft allows that since windows 10 is out many things only are allowed to work on windows 10 so if the company tries to make it for windows 7 or other versions microsoft wont let them make it.

That's the dumbest excuse I've ever heard. I went to a tech school for computer science. An HDMI cable is supposed to allow HD. Most modern graphics cards either use HDMI or DVI ports, usually both, where you can switch between them. A cable doesn't have operating system requirements. Graphics cards are made to support the latest operating systems.
