Braid
Gonna be delisted
Dev from Braid remaster board said they are considering delisting this original version.
What are your thoughts?

I think bundling both versions and the OST together would've been a much better and more consumer-friendly idea. Luckily that's what most publishers do, but sadly, some fail to embrace the concept of leaving an “inferior” version of the game up for sale. Ironically, there are a lot of people who appreciate classic/original games more than remasters for their charm and nostalgic value. :thecar:

Braid is now delisted on Steam, but you can still get it here:

Perhaps the developers aren't confident that the remaster is vastly different and superior to the original, so they have to delist the original if it has a chance of becoming the 'cheaper alternative' to the remaster.
I glad I managed to get the original on Steam, but I'm not going to buy the remaster.

tale of two brothers got a remaster but the original is still available for sale. And that game's remaster was really deemed unnecessary by many. and yet, the devs released the original on gamepass. it really shows how confident they are that their remaster will do well in sales, despite the original still being sold, and being available on gamepass.
if there is a significant difference between original and remaster, then i think the devs should feel confident about keeping both up for sale. otherwise, i think it makes sense to delist the original from steam.
it would be nice if the devs bring the sale back for the original after a few years of delisting.
a happy middle ground for both players and devs.
Well, the thing is that remaster contains the original in itself (you can switch graphics(and sound too i guess) at any moment). And other than that its 1 to 1 to the original, outside of additional content and better settings/hardware support. But yea, delisting still doesnt feel like a nice move to me (even though i can understand the logic of devs)
