Heat Signature is a game from the developers of Gunpoint where you break into spaceships, make terrible mistakes, and think of clever ways out of them. You take a mission, fly to the target ship, sneak inside, and make clever use of your gadgets to distract, ambush and take out the crew.

We just released our next game, which we've been working on for more than 6 years. And it's just like Heat Signature! As long as you overlook the genre, perspective, time scale, party size, and story focus. But! But! They do have these things in common:

Throwing yourself and others through windows
Getting yourself into a terrible situation, and having all the time you need to think your way out of it
A tendency toward emergent gameplay
A wide range of tools that have a variety of non-obvious uses

Friend characters/items

I'm wondering how exactly it works in regards to a beloved friend of mine that has now past away. Like, will I stop being able to rescue his characters when I have rescued/lost them all? Will his legacy items always have a chance to appear or can I use them up/lose them when too many other items are legacied. I am really keen to know about this, and if there's anything I can do to help preserve his presence in the game...

Great game. Really good meta progression and good enough story that it makes sense, it doesn't feel like a loss when you lose most characters, and you're quickly back into it with a new character. The core loop is fast and tight, with the majority of (my) missions being failed within the first 15 seconds.

Really cool game, it has so many fun interactions and possible tactics that you keep discovering as you play. My only real complaint is that one of the enemy ship types has background art that makes it difficult to differentiate characters/objects/etc from the background.

[bug] "ghost" stronghold is mentally challenged.

this stronghold is suppose to only have Ghost missions, but completing these missions would break my characters vows. that's some 2022 biden voter levels of intelligence. i've also seen the character come with shields, which seems like a bug since the character is suppose to comes with items that suits their vows...shields are only useful if you're seen......

How do one start a new game?

I died, only to realize my character was gone for good, then panicked and tried to start a new save, but I can't seem to access the start menu like I did earlier, when I quit and restart the game, it pops me into the ship, with apparently a new guy. I tried to delete the galaxy, and change to a new one, but I can't find a way to completely start over....

So I'm new to the game and I love it, I lost many characters but I learned something everytime. Then I picked a guy that was dying of terminal space aids, he only had 10 minutes to live, and a personal mission, to assassinate someone, information fee already paid. But it was a very tough mission, with a lot of shielded and armored dudes, I didn't have the equipment to deal with them, so after I got thrown out of the ship, I decided to try to destroy their whole ship, and I stole three roaming ships and ra...
