can I wait with promotion?
I have 2x specialists, both squaddie rank. and I want one to be my medic, while the other a combat one.

and I know that in certain missions you can get a significant +hacking stat bonus from hacking towers/mission items. and i want that stat bonus on my combat guy

however, one of my specialists is currently wounded.

The one I am bringing with me is a squaddie with a promotion ready, I have not yet chosen the route to take with him, and IF I get the +hack bonus in the mission, he will become my combat guy...if not, he will become the medic.
but I dont want to loose out on the promotion I already have ready for him.

so what I am asking is:
if I dont promote him prior to the mission, can he still gain a promotion in the mission I am about to start ontop of the one he already has?

nvm, I just tested it. and it turns out that you can save promotions for later use.

if you play WotC there is no need to split proviencys, both coud learn both skillrows via training center (with some Point investment)

This :steamthis:. WotC helpfully eliminates this issue. All my Specs are trained for combat, and then once the Training Center is built I can also give them one or two of the basic healing abilities.

With this mod the spec that's good at hacking, is the one that I keep using for that job.
