To our new Knights,

To say that we’ve been completely overwhelmed by the response to KILL KNIGHT, and watching you - our growing community - grabbing the challenge by the horns through the past few days of Next Fest, would be a massive understatement. To see the culmination of the team’s hard work in the hands of players for the first time has been incredible. Thank you!

Our Next Fest demo features the first of our five layers - Solitude - and a brief glimpse at the Knight’s Arsenal. We’ll be sharing some more details about what to expect from the full game over the coming days and weeks, so stay tuned!

Until then, we’ve gathered our team to descend a little deeper into KILL KNIGHT in our second dev diary. Join us as we discuss some of our inspirations, our challenges, and our approach to designing some of the game’s core mechanics, as we jump into a live playthrough of the demo with the team.

Firstly, we wanted to extend a massive thank you to each and every one of you who have jumped into the KILL KNIGHT demo so far. Watching you play KILL KNIGHT for the first time, and witnessing our growing community dive head first into the challenge - and the high-score supremacy battle - has been such an incredible experience for our team to be a part of too!

We’re excited to be a part of Steam Next Fest - and can’t wait to see many more new Knight’s descend into the Abyssal Keep over the next week! The demo will be available throughout Next Fest and will be live until June 30.

If you’re new to KILL KNIGHT, make sure to join our Discord community to keep up to date with the latest news and updates - as well as get involved in our daily community challenges!

We’re excited to see the competition ramping up, and are absolutely loving watching your submissions as you challenge each other for a spot on the global leaderboards. We wish all of our players the best of luck over the next week in competing for the Custom KILL KNIGHT PC - awarded to the player with the highest score submission by the end of Steam Next Fest. Remember, you can win a game key simply by entering, so make sure to submit your score, even if the top spot is out of reach. Make sure to join our Discord to find out more on how to enter!

We have also taken the opportunity to make some minor updates to the demo to ensure the best player experience. An updated list is available below, and regular patch updates will be shared in Discord for any future changes. Thank you to all of our players who have taken the time to share bugs encountered in the demo - these are much appreciated!

• Fluxstrikers fire rate increased
  
• Fluxstrikers Overdrive duration increased
  
• Wrath Burst aiming laser has been stabilized
  
• Fixed Exhausters fire rate not increasing based on Kill Power
  
• Fixed an Audio crash related to memory allocation
  
• Fixed an infinite ammo exploit
