It's been quiet as a grave lately (literally!), but that's only because we Imps - especially me - and the rest of our team have been working like crazy on new wonders for the game. The Clever Imp has been hiding out somewhere deep in the dark catacombs, having some mysterious conversations with new ghosts that may be joining our crew. Dear Master, sorry for the long absence! Ahh, how much has been going on at our hideout...Pesky the Imp went on vacation and I was left all alone with all the problems. Cooking rat tails, cleaning, and still those job interviews...Oh right, job interviews! I found the perfect candidate to join your team! Meet William - The Abyssal Lyricist!

William's face is pale and emaciated, although this is not just an effect of his spiritual form. When he was alive, he was just as pale, just as emaciated, and his blackened, tired eyes testified to his constant creative agony. Though now frayed, the quality of his clothes and grace are a reminder of times past. His hand usually squeezes a dark pen, as if made of pure shadow, from which ethereal ink drips like liquid night. He often writes something feverishly in the air, sketching more verses.

Born into poverty on the outskirts of Eldritch Hollow, William grew up in a modest home, far from the glitter of the city. Even as a child, he showed a remarkable talent for words and art, finding solace in creating poetry, which he saw as an escape from a harsh reality.

Growing up, he gained fame in the city's taverns, where his lively performances and emotional poetry drew crowds. His talent was quickly recognized, and his ambition led him to the upper classes. The chance for real success came when the Grand Theater offered him the opportunity to write a play, making him a respected author in Eldritch Hollow.

Despite his fame and wealth, William began to feel burned out and tired of his work. The works, once full of passion, began to seem shallow and uninspired. A turning point in his life came when he met a stranger, Nick. He offered him an old book full of dark secrets, promising access to unusual sources of inspiration. The book, however, changed his work, leading him to produce increasingly disturbing pieces.

One of his staunchest critics was Leo, who envied William's success. Seizing the opportunity to attack William, Leo wrote a brutal review criticizing his dark new work, leading to a personal clash between the two. William, determined to get even, invited Leo to his home, where their confrontation ended tragically.

After spending the night at William's house, the two disappeared without a word. The investigation found no evidence of foul play, and the case became a mystery that haunted the residents of Eldritch Hollow for years. Speculation about William and Leo's disappearance continues to circulate, and the legend of the dark events of their final moments continues to fascinate the townspeople.

The legend of the House on the Cliff says that after William disappeared, his house became a place of fear and mystery. People reported flickering lights, whispers, and the sound of a pen. According to the legend, William's spirit continues to create the dark, disturbing themes that haunted him. The house is said to be cursed, and legend has it that William's ghost will remain until he completes his final work. Sounds pretty scary, doesn't it?

The Abyssal Lyricist is passionate and somewhat detached in his poetry. He speaks in rhyme, constantly searching for the muse in the tragedy and comedy of the living. His obsession with creating a masterpiece that will immortalize his spirit has not diminished since his death. It is what drives him to manipulate mortals to live up to his verses, so to speak, and bring his creation to life. Although he was usually charming and amiable, especially to the ladies to whom he dedicated more sonnets, he could be equally impulsive and vindictive, especially toward critics and other artists.

• Et tu? - William's whispers sow paranoia and doubt in the undertaker's mind, causing him to attack his former friend.
  
• A weight of carrion flesh - William links the fates of two mortals by making it so that, like the lovers in his work, neither can survive if the other dies.

My dearest Master! It's good to hear from you again! Pesky the Imp is still on vacation, so it is with great pleasure that I, Clever the Imp, introduce you to another of your faithful servants. I'm sure he'll live up to your expectations, so to keep things brief, I present to you - Night Blade!

Cloaked in a cloak as dark as a starless night, Night Blade moves through the shadows
with extraordinary grace. His dark robes hide his face, and his piercing azure eyes are the only sign of his presence. In one hand he holds a cold dagger, in the other a lantern, once his most dangerous weapon. Night Blade's movements are silent and deadly, and his aura exudes fear. His true identity remains a mystery, both in life and in death.

Soon a man named Gregory Finch appeared in the city and quickly built a network of assassins, but he was missing one. Wanting the best, he sought out Night Blade, who promised riches and challenges. Lured by the promise of contracts, Night Blade became Finch's deadliest acquisition, but not everyone shared his enthusiasm. Jealousy and fear created a storm in the ranks of Finch's assassins. As Night Blade's reputation grew, his associates began to hate him, leading to a conspiracy.

Clara, a barmaid loyal to Night Blade, learned of the plot. She ran to warn him, but the conspirators had already lured Night Blade into a trap. However, he decided to leave on his terms and threw the lantern into the powder kegs. The explosion devastated the bar, killing everyone inside, but Night Blade remained elusive.

Death was not his end. Witnesses to the explosion repeatedly claimed to have seen the ghost of Night Blade carrying a dagger and lantern. He had become a part of the world to which he had sent many, but he would not fade into oblivion. He was ready for new assignments, hoping for challenges greater than ever before.

Night Blade is more of a phenomenon than a human spirit, the embodiment of death and a shadow of the night. While alive, he was almost a ghost, and after death, his essence resembles coldness. His desires and fears are unknown, but his penchant for fulfilling contracts is obvious. The more complicated and dangerous the task, the more he is drawn to it. While payment is important, it is the challenge that drives his existence. Every contract is a game, a test of his skills as an assassin, even after death.

• Shadow Illusion - a dark, hooded figure emerges from the shadows and approaches the hunted, lonely, victim, sowing indescribable terror in him. Potentially fatal.
  
• Light of Doom - the Night Blade's lantern glows with a familiar bright light, reminding the world of its owner and blinding all who see it.

My most wonderful Master, we finally have a chance to talk. I hope that the Pesky Imp hasn't been telling you too much nonsense... He was whining about going on vacation, so I agreed to take his place. Today it is I, the Clever Imp, who will introduce you to our world, and more specifically, tell you the story of one of the ghosts who will be serving you. Ekhem, my dear Master, this is Phineas the Mad!

Phineas the Mad takes the form of a ghostly, elderly man. He is about 175cm tall and has a slightly stooped posture. The tattered cloak he wore is as neglected as the wild, messy hair that crowns his translucent form. Behind ghostly goggles, his eyes glow with a hint of madness and genius. A wide, maddening smile complements the whole thing that rarely leaves his face...brrr until I got the chills.

Phineas' journey began in the humble workshops of local tinkerers. As a young apprentice, he quickly gained a reputation for being able to breathe life into the most stubborn machines and gadgets. His transformation from mechanic to inventor began with a chance meeting with an engineer whose stories captured his imagination.

The purchase of a mansion on the outskirts of the city was a pivotal moment in Phineas' life. Rumors circulated about the mysterious source of his wealth. It was said that he had sold it to a foreign power, found treasure, or begun producing gold. Whatever the truth, the mansion became his sanctuary and fortress.

As Phineas' ambition grew, so did his paranoia. He was convinced that rival inventors and thieves lurked around every corner. The mansion became a maze of locked doors and traps. He went from being an eccentric to a local madman, whose insanity would make life difficult for his neighbors. He was often seen at night with a double-barreled shotgun, muttering unintelligibly and firing at the slightest rustle. The few brave souls who ventured too close were effectively deterred by a tirade of insults and a hail of lead.

One night, a powerful explosion tore through the silence, shattering windows in the neighborhood and the mansion. Emboldened, authorities discovered the abandoned mansion with no sign of Phineas or the source of the explosion. Rumors began to circulate as to what might have happened, but without the owner of the property, nothing could be confirmed.

It took nearly two years to defuse the traps in the mansion so that it could be sold. In the years that followed, the mansion changed hands. Reports of strange noises, flickering lights, and ghostly laughter were common. Most frightening of all was the story of Phineas' ghost, still tinkering with machinery and choking madly at night.

Even after death, Phineas retains his eccentric and paranoid nature. He is quick to anger, especially when he perceives a threat to his inventions. His mind is as unpredictable and explosive as his gadgets. He mumbles unintelligibly, sometimes shouting insane rants full of insults at those who try to steal his creations.

He has unique abilities, but I won't reveal them all to you today, my Master, as time is pressing. Here are a few of Phineas' abilities:

• Spectral Trap - Phineas summons one of his ingenious traps that immobilizes the first mortal to enter the room.
  
• Ectoplasm Explosion - Phineas triggers a loud, deafening, ethereal explosion that mimics his failed experiments of the past.
