A gardener gets hired for maintenance work over the weekend. A simple task, but strangely some tools are missing…The owner of the garden isn't around, and their house is off-limits. Perhaps new tools can be found in the mysterious town, or maybe some of the reserved townsfolk have seen them?

Fixed a couple of bugs!

Hey everyone!

Thank you all so much for checking out my game! I’ve seen a lot of very nice reviews already and it makes me happy that you seem to be enjoying it! :)

I just uploaded a new build that should fix a couple of issues:

Fixed a potential run-killer that would appear when you would enter the strange hallway after obtaining the small idol.
Fixed an issue where the player would spawn in some sort of empty void after going to bed on Sunday.
Fixed an issue where it would still be raining after starting a new run.
Put back a fence behind the cornfield, I don’t know where it went but it’s back now.
Made sure you are not able to fall off the ferry anymore.
Made sure that the darkness also closes in on you when you enter the strange hallway or hedge maze area, causing players to get lost in darkness forever there.
Implemented a failsafe that should always unlock the content you get when you 100% areas (I believe this worked for most users, but someone in the discussions said they didn’t unlock some of it at 100%).
Fixed a bug where you would be able to get stuck behind the gas station counter on Monday by closing it and not being able to open it anymore.
Fixed an issue with colliders that made interacting with the picnic blanket a bit wonky.
Added an option under AUDIO settings that reduces the volume of loud jumpscare sounds (let me know if this could be reduced further).
Put some extra invisible walls here and there to make sure you all don’t get out of bounds too much haha

If you still encounter any of these problems or find new ones, don’t hesitate to let me know and I’ll see what I can do about it!

My guide so far

Here's what I've got so far for a guide for what I imagine is the true ending. Still got some gaps to fill. Gunn guide: -get clippers from cabin -cut shortcut in hedge behind rotten board -tent behind gas station grab tp, grab corn by scarecrow -grab plank from gas station -run back to toilets, give tp, grab coin -grab key for church area -put coin in well of churce area -cut some grass get doorknob -go into church side door and get horn -go back through shortcut behind garden -grab trowel from body, play...

In short: a blend of Outer Wilds and the original Silent Hill/Resident Evil games. Much like all of the aforementioned titles, this game's ability to implant a mental map of its winding gardens and non-euclidian spaces is astounding. There are definitely moments where I felt stumped, and even frustrated as a result, but most of my time so far has been making realizations of the happenings of this strange world. And those moments, along with the newfound ability to navigate those spaces as a result, feel amazing to experience.

Grunn is out today!

Very happy to announce that Grunn is launching today on PC!

This has been a labour of love of mine for almost two years, and I’m very happy and proud to see it going out into the world. The garden and the surrounding town are a recreation of my own father’s house and neighbourhood in the Dutch countryside. I've also had a lot of fun adding secrets, easter eggs and hidden pathways for the curious minded!

Without giving too much away, I will say that there are multiple ways to finish this game. If you roll credits too early, consider going back and trying again :)

Thank you so much to everyone who has shown me encouragement and support throughout the development process. I hope you enjoy the game!

One of the funnest games I've played all year!
It was right up my alley for spoops but even the replayability to get all endings was SO exciting.
It's definitely tagged "Mystery" on Steam for good reason~
I think my frens will enjoy this one too.

We have a release date for Grunn!

Hi everyone. Developer Tom here :) And I bring good news!

My game Grunn is launching on PC via Steam on October 4th!! We made the announcement today at the Fantastic Games Fest in Austin. Here is the trailer:

As a reminder, Grunn is a game about gardening, and it is normal. Trim the grass, water the flowers, pick up trash, and of course enjoy the lovely scenery of the dutch countryside. Maybe you feel like you’re being watched, but that’s probably your imagination, right? Oh and don’t forget to trim the hedges!

Another cool thing: The Grunn demo won the Digital Moment Award at this year’s A MAZE fest! Woah!

Thanks again to everyone who has shown their support for Grunn since the announcement, I am very excited to see you all experiencing the full game in a few weeks!

Trash Cleaning Achievement?

I feel like I have completed this four times, but it has not popped once. Am I missing something obvious? I am getting the trash: 1) Around the gazebo in town. 2) Around the gas station. 3) Around the tent. 4) In the bathroom. 5) Around the plate in the garden. 6) Around the trash cans with the coin in the garden. 7) In front of the gate to the church in the garden. 8) In the park center. 9) And even the pizza box only found Sunday evening. I'm stumped, even checking guides....

Cant get the Trash Collecting Achievement

title basically, ive found all trash on multiple runs, including the pizza box, and the achievement just wont pop for me, idk why

Game Won't Launch Anymore

Encountered a weird bug earlier that seems to have fully borked the game for me. I was going to get the trumpet and when the jumpscare triggered my game switched to a greyscale screen showing the car parked near the downed tree. Controls were still responsive as I could hear the character moving around but the camera wouldn't reset to the player POV - pausing and then quitting to main title didn't reset the camera either, although both menus displayed correctly on top of the bugged camera. I tried relaunc...
