Basically the game checks for achievements in at least two instances: the first on launching the game and the second after successfully clearing a level. For example, if you have literally one left to get on the x number of civilians achievement, and you kill one civilian in the next, it probably won't register *until* you successfully leave that level's exit.

The achievements can be a little bit finicky to appear but generally please make sure you have an active connection to Steam and that you don't have any cheats or dev mode enabled (if you do, just turn them off and redo a quick operation and/or restart the game and/or restart the Steam client).

Yeah im guessing steam is being finicky then, im not using cheats (Didn't even know they existed.) and have a solid connection to steam.
