The loading time increases when starting a new game in version 1.4 because the game initializes a lot of content during the first launch. This includes setting up almost everything needed for the game to run smoothly. After the initial load, the times become more reasonable, though there may still be a noticeable delay when transitioning from the main menu to the main game. We are aware of this and are planning optimization improvements for future updates.
